SELECT NylonPower PA 6/66
is a special co-polymer blend that’s take full advantage of the strengths of both PA 6 and PA66. The combination of these two types of PA makes our Nylon very easy to print. Normally Nylon (PA) is very hard to print with and has a hard time sticking to the build plate. With NylonPower you can use lower print temperatures than you normally would with Nylon. This means that you can use this material in most common printers on the market.
When printing with Nylon you should do so on a heated build plate. For best adhesion we recommend that you use Magigoo PA. The temperature should be set to 60-80°C.
Nylon has strong mechanical strength and deforms less. It´s hard to snap of or break. Nylon is also one of the best materials when it comes to impact resistance.
Nylon is very hydroscopic. This means that it absorbs liquids, this could be a benefit if you want to dye your filament. It also means that it is important to dry your Nylon before use. You can set the oven at 70-80°C and leave it there for 4-8 hours. The longer you leave it, the more dryer it will be and that will also reflect on the finished print result, both visual and performance wise.
is the latest generation of high performance material for your 3D Printer. Our SELECT NylonPower is based on Nylon 12 and is reinforced with 16 % glass fibers. This makes for an extremely tough filament that is perfect for printed parts that can be used in the automotive industry, drones and RC parts. The glass fibers make it a bit softer and not as rigid as the version with carbon fibers.
